When disaster strikes others not us,
why should we even discuss it.
Let foreigners wallow. It's heaven's
will.
If they are drowning, should we
foot the bill
trying to rescue, protect and preserve
their lowly lives? They have some nerve,
expecting we'd care for others.
We barely care for sisters or brothers.
Let alone cousins, uncles and aunts
or anything, really, that does not
enhance
our personal wealth and sense of
well-being.
For though we believe God all-seeing in theory,
we know people other than us leave Him weary.
For though we believe God all-seeing in theory,
we know people other than us leave Him weary.
