№ 657: Backward Trumpy Soldiers

DEAD END (August 8)

Christians anxious for end of days
see Donnie as John the Baptist.
In fact, that is the soul reason why
they ignore his “faith” is not practiced,
Donnie does seem like Satan
but they think he will hasten
Jesus's speedy return
when He tells them, “Determine
which of you vermin
I chasten and which I burn.”
This delicious prospect they find so enthralling,
they deem saving souls no longer their calling.
That is the reason in a nutshell,
there's always a housing shortage in hell.

№: 656: Announce Of Prevention

EVERYWHERE (August 7)

Adolf, they say, was the sweetest of babies.
As, they say, was Mao Zedong.
Initial impressions give scant indication
of what in our time we become.
Caligula, as his dad's legion's mascot,
was a totally lovable tyke.
It was not until later Romans discovered
what he was actually like.
In infancy, Idi always seemed sunny.
Attila the Baby was a real honey.

Babies, as babies, are sweet and adorable.
Some become adults, at best, deplorable.
There is a vaccine that can prevent rabies.
Perhaps it is time we stop making babies?

№ 655: Beggars Belief

Charities say scheme will make beggars even more vulnerable and open to exploitation

Jimmy Jansson, a Social Democrat local councillor, said the scheme, which came into force on 1 August after nearly a year of legal delays, was aimed at “bureaucratising” begging to “make it more difficult” for people to ask for money.

TAKING STOCK HOME (August 6)

Those Socialist Swedes are at it again,
messing with the economy.
In any properly free-market country,
beggars are given complete autonomy.
They pay no fees, they do as they please,
in summer they sweat, in winter they freeze.
They don't have to beg if they don't want to eat.
Their freedom's complete. They can die on the street
if they want and their wants are so many.
If they ask for spare change, do not them any.
Let them rot on the spot as Jesus intended.
If you give them money, they'll only spend it
in four-star restaurants and deluxe hotels.
Giving money to poor folk never ends well.
Eating, they breed, creating more needy,
making our cities even more seedy.
But having them pay for the right to panhandle
can only lead to corruption and scandal.
While “post-birth abortion” would surely thwart them,
it's more Christian — and cheaper — to just deport them.

№ 654: Late Night “Presidential” Musings

THE VERY WHITE HOUSE (August 5)

Calling me racist. . .a Democrat ploy.
You want the facts, just ask the boy
who gives me the shine he calls soopa fine.
Maybe some day I should slip him a dime?

Okay, “perhaps”, I do not love Hispanics.
In the real estate business I've found
when they move in everyone panics.
Even Jews choose not to want them around.
I got nothing against them, as I am God's witness.
The simple truth is they're bad for business.
They are the problem. I'm not to blame.
They gotta return from whence they came.

How can anyone say I'm antisemitic
when my daughter's a super hot Jew?
So, I suppose, are my grandkids (her children),
whose names I wish I knew.
They call me “Grampy”. They're really great kids.
I'd probably love them if they weren't Yids.

№ 653: WSJ Opposes Over Regulation

737 MAX Safety Tests Covering Increasingly Remote Failure Risks

Reviews of grounded Boeing jet are expanding beyond the automated flight-control system behind two crashes

A portion of the ongoing testing and analysis is delving into extremely remote but potentially catastrophic problems. . .

It took one of the pilots [in the Boeing flight simulator] 16 seconds to identify and react to the malfunction, significantly longer than current FAA certification rules and safety guidelines permit. . . if an airline crew confronted such a problem—even though chances of it happening are extremely small—the consequences could be catastrophic.

BUSINESS AS USUAL (August 4)

Come on, be practical,
what are that the odds
that another one's likely to crash?
And if one does
it will likely be
due to a circumstance
beyond Boeing's control.
A poorly-trained foreign pilot's mistake.
Boeing's an icon.
GIVE ME A BREAK!

You really want Boeing,
a truly great firm,
to suffer a stock market crash?
Or to go under
and U.S. investors
to lose hundreds of bundles,
hard American cash?
To say nothing of jobs.
Poor working slobs
build these technical wonders.
Must investors (and workers)
be made to pay for a
a series of management blunders?

Management acted in total good faith
rushing this jet to the market.
Carriers loved it mostly because
pilots already knew how to park it
and fly it since it flew the same
as previous planes with this number.
Except it didn't and the software was faulty.
For that you think the firm should go under?

Some days it rains, some days it sunny.
Take this to the bank: Boeing. Makes. Money.
If someone dies because they make a mistake. . .
what can we say? Those are the breaks.
